How to download Facebook videos

Facebook lets you save videos to a watch-later list, but not to your device. This guide shows how to download any public Facebook video or Reel as a normal MP4 you actually own.

FAQ

Common questions

Why does my Facebook link fail?

The most common reason is privacy: the video must be public. Links from private groups, friends-only posts, or logged-in-only pages cannot be fetched.

Do fb.watch links work?

Yes. Every public link format works: facebook.com/watch, fb.watch short links, share links, and Reel links.

Is there a limit on video length?

No fixed limit. Long videos simply take a little longer to start downloading.

Ready to save your first clip?

Paste a link from any of nine platforms. Free, no sign-up, about two seconds.
